Print-ready PDFs for designers

Your design looks great on screen. Let’s make it ready for print.

Upload a PDF from Canva, Figma, Adobe Express or Kittl. Prepfly converts it to CMYK and can lower the ink so it prints cleaner. Free preview, pay only when you download.

  • No settings to learn
  • Free preview
  • $1.99 per file, all versions

How it works

Three steps. No color settings, no print jargon.

  1. Upload

Drop the PDF you exported from your design app. RGB is fine.

  2. Choose

Tick Convert to CMYK, Safer for press, or both. Pick a strength.

  3. Preview, then download

Check the free preview. Pay $1.99 once to download every version of that file.

Examples

Before and after on real design exports: same look on paper, less ink on the press.

Dark brochure

Total ink 268% → 208%. Black backgrounds dry faster and stop offsetting.

Event flyer

Rich black text stays crisp; photos keep their color.

Product label

Bright brand colors stay inside what the press can print.

FAQ

Why does my printer want CMYK?

Presses print with cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks. Design tools export RGB, so the file gets converted somewhere; doing it yourself keeps the result predictable.

What does Convert to CMYK do?

It converts the RGB images, colors and gradients in your PDF to CMYK for offset printing (GRACoL 2013). RGB that carries its own color profile is converted from that profile; RGB without one is treated as sRGB, which is what most design tools use. Converted colors are capped at 320% total ink; colors that are already CMYK keep their values.

What does “Safer for press” change?

It replaces part of the cyan, magenta and yellow under dark and neutral areas with black ink. The colors look the same, but there is less ink on the paper: it dries faster, smudges less, and print shops are less likely to send the file back. Choose Light, Medium or Strong.

What is Deeper blacks?

An option for Safer for press that keeps dark areas looking deep and full after the ink reduction. It works with all three strengths.

Which design tools does Prepfly work with?

Any tool that exports a PDF: Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, Kittl, VistaCreate and others. Download or export your design as a PDF (choose the print or high-quality PDF option if your tool offers one) and upload it to Prepfly.

Can I check the result before paying?

Yes. Every version comes with a free low-resolution preview with a watermark, plus the total ink before and after. You only pay to download the full print file.

How much does it cost?

$1.99 per file. Every version you make of that file is included. Payments are opening soon; previews are always free.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

No. If a PDF needs a password to open, export a version without one and upload that. A PDF that was refused for this reason does not count toward your daily limit of new files.

What happens to my files?

Your files are only used to make your conversions. They are deleted automatically, by default after 24 hours.
